Administrative Assistant - Bellin College Academic Affairs (5545 PV)
Shift Hours:FT - (1.0)/80 - Days (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive, detail-oriented, highly skilled administrative support for the Academic Affairs Department with defined duties to support other departments as needed. The position requires an individual dedicated to personal and professional development and assuming a process ownership role in attaining customer needs.
A two-year Associate Degree for Administrative Assistants, Business or Office Management, or equivalent is preferred. The qualified candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities, often with numerous interruptions, while being attentive to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Proficiency with internet research, scanning, database principles, word processing, design and utilization of spreadsheets, experience in creating charts and graphs, data management, presentations, and email is required. Past experience with Survey Monkey survey creation and design is a plus.
The qualified candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and telephone skills and must relate well with faculty, staff, and the general public.
One to two years assistant experience with a two-year Associate Degree or three to five years prior experience as an administrative support required. Extensive administrative experience in a higher education, health care, or office setting is preferred.
