Admissions Counselor - Bellin College (5902 PV)
Shift Hours:FT - (1.0)/80 - Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4 :30 p.m) with occasional evening and weekend hours
The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment of prospective students for all programs offered at Bellin College. This person will meet with prospective students and their families in a variety of venues, promoting opportunities, advising them of admission processes, and targeting qualified students for academic programs. Must have flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed. Travel will be required, including evenings, overnights, and/or weekends.
Reporting to the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management, the Admissions Counselor will build relationships with students, parents, and school counselors within an assigned geographic region. The counselor primary duties will include holistically reading and reviewing applications for admission to Bellin College, ultimately deciding the applicants admission status. The incumbent will utilize Technolutions/Slate CRM to communicate with students, make data informed recruitment decisions, and assist students & their families throughout the entire admissions process.
Other duties the counselor may have include coordinating on-campus events, thinking concretely about the visit experience, and collaborating with their team members on best practices when working with prospective undergraduate and graduate students. They will also assist with the development of the overall recruitment and marketing plans for the admissions department. They will also act in an ethical manner when it comes to institutional resources, reviewing applicants for admission, and collaborating with their team.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master in higher education or related field preferred. Valid WI Driver’s license required. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Must have flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed. Must possess expertise in the use of data bases, computers, and computer software, including Microsoft Office. Experience using a CRM, and specifically Technolutions/Slate, is preferred. Must demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to successfully work independently or collaboratively. Experience in higher education, admissions, counseling, advising, or related field preferred. Travel will be required, including evenings/weekends/overnight.
This is a 12 month, full time exempt position.
