Information Technology Specialist - Bellin College (5915 PV)
Shift Hours:FT (1.0)/80 - 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The Information Technology Specialist provides computer, network, and instructional technology support for the effective day-to-day operations of the College and to promote the College’s technology advancement efforts.
Associate degree in an information technology related field or high school graduate with equivalent two years training and experience in the field is required. The qualified candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and customer service ethics including a friendly and helpful attitude. Self-starter with ability to work responsibly on both an independent and team player basis. A willingness to learn, excellent problem-solving skills, and able to maintain accurate records and confidentiality. Organized and attentive to accuracy and detail. Ability to multi-task, manage several tasks and projects, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative and compatible with, and supportive of, the College’s mission, vision, purpose, and values.
Two years of computer and network operations experience or equivalent education and training. Experience within a higher education institution and/or health care setting desired. Familiar with the principles, configuration, operation, and maintenance of a Microsoft Windows environment. Familiar with the configuration and installation of current desktop and server operating systems. Familiarity with basic network, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012-2019, Windows 10, Linux, Active Directory, Office 365 Administration, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, VMware, VDI, SCCM, PowerShell, SQL a plus.
